This man is amazing and so positive, no matter how challenging his daily life is.
Can you imagine not having any arm or legs ? Not being to write with your right (or left) hand, touch anything with your hands, cook, knit ?
Nick went beyond the challenges of his body and found ways to still have fun…

The Smurfs (les Schtroumpfs)
This is a Smurf (Schtroumpf)…
I just saw that there will be in 2011 a 3D movie about the Smurfs (called Les Schtroumpfs in French).
Les Schtroumpfs was originally a comic (bande dessinée) from Belgian artist Peyo that was very popular when I was a child. One of my brothers has their castle and the figurines.
Les Schtroumpfs leave happily in a small village in the middle of the forrest. They had one enemy, Gargamel and his cat Azraël.
Gargamel’s cat Azraël…
Their language use a lot of “schtroumpf” words, making sentences not always clear. Such as « Un schtroumpf qui schtroumpfe du schtroumpf » ; which was meant to mean “un dragon qui crache du feu“.
