One of my students is a farmer who spent some time in Switzerland years ago. He has Swiss cows (Holstein and Brown Swiss) and also Japanese/American ones.

Il faut faire attention aux vaches suisses
Sérieusement… il faut faire attention aux vaches suisses lorsque l’on se promène dans les prés.
A vrai dire, vous ne devriez pas être dans les prés qui sont clôturés, parce qu’ils sont considérés comme une propriété privée. Et vous y entrez à vos risques et périls.
Et quand vous voyez un panneau signalisant le danger, il faut le prendre au sérieux.
Voici (au bas de l’article) quelques conseils en cas de rencontre inopinée avec des vaches ou bovins.

Alpine wrestling is a Swiss tradition that may not be much known outside Switzerland. More information here in English, in French or German.
There is even a Swiss association of wrestlers with a site in French and German.

Tomato Pie recipe
When I was a kid, my mom baked tomato pies.
I recently ate again a tomato bread that reminded me of my mom’s pies.
The thing is, in Japan, unlike in Switzerland, you just can’t get ready-made pie dough in any supermarket (except for a frozen sheet pie). And I never could find a good pie dough recipe.

Marché Concours
Chaque année en début août a lieu à Saignelégier, dans le canton du Jura, en Suisse, une fête particulière en l’honneur du cheval suisse Franches-Montagnes, le “Marché Concours national de chevaux”.
Enfant, j’y suis allée chaque année avec mes parents. Ils seront de nouveau de la fête, ce week-end.

Cette année, le canton de Vaud, où j’ai grandi, sera l’hôte d’honneur du Marché concours. Une ancienne diligence postale est en train de faire le chemin du canton de Vaud au Jura. La voilà lors d’une escale.

Watching TV in a foreign language / 海外ドラマ
Here at home, we have Sky Perfect TV (English / 日本語). We can see foreign dramas and movies. Not only in English, but also in French and German.
For dramas in English, see here.
Dramas and movies in French are shown often shown among others on AXN, AXN Mystery, Cinefil Imagica, Movie Plus, Lala TV, etc.
Dramas and movies in German are more rare, but recently, I am watching “Kommissar Rex“, “Post Mortem” (both on AXN Mystery) and “Cobra 11” (on Fox Crime), all in German.
